Obituary

Grant J. Camper, age 89, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025.

Born on January 16, 1936, Grant dedicated his lifelong career to Ford Motor Company and was a proud member of the UAW. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine (nee: Hamer) Camper.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Brazis, and her husband, Dr. Robert Brazis; granddaughter, Faron Brazis; sister, Jean Conner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, with a special thank you to Charlie B. for all your kindness, support, and friendship.

Grant will be remembered for his hard work, loyalty, kindness, and his wonderful sense of humor. He found joy in listening to bluegrass music, caring for his lawn, growing the tastiest tomatoes on earth, watching the birds in his backyard, enjoying cars, and playing the slots at the casino — sometimes even winning.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th from 10:00–11:00am at Waite Funeral Home 3300 Center Rd. Brunswick, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am the same location, followed by interment at Eastlawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the American Heart Association, or American Kidney Foundation.

Grant will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
