Heinz Erwin Radtke born January 3, 1932, in Germany passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026. Heinz followed the love of his life, Leokadia (nee Mietz) to the United States from Germany in 1951. They soon married and started their family in Cleveland, moving to Parma in 1963 making it their family home. Heinz retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1994 where he had worked as a machine repairman for over 20 years. He and Lottie enjoyed 'cruising' the Carribean with dear friends, visiting many tropical destinations and touring the National Parks. He was an avid sports fan enjoying all sports, but his favorite team was the Cleveland Indians who he would watch or listened to faithfully. Heinz dedicated his life to providing and caring for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers in Germany, and in 2025 his daughter, Heide Shumay (Paul), 

Heinz is survived by his devoted wife of 74 years Lottie, his children, Fred (Diane), Anita Buchanan (Marc), and Gary (Kathy), Thirteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Family will welcome visitors from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 at Waite Funeral Home located at 3300 Center Road in Brunswick. A funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, September 4th, 2026 at the funeral home. Inurnment to follow at Eastlawn Memory Garden.
