Henry H. Fern, 81, of Hinckley, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025. Born  August 16, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, Henry was the son of the late Herman W. and Eleanore Nellie (nee Hodson) Fernschutz.

Henry worked as a machinist and group leader at GE, where he was respected for his skill and leadership. Outside of work, he found great joy in stock car racing and car repair, always eager to tinker with engines and share his enthusiasm for the sport.

Henry's memory will be cherished by his devoted wife of more than 57 years, Mary Ellen (nee Roberts) Fern; sons, Marc Fern and Shawn Fern; and sisters, Beverly Singleton, Sue (Michael, deceased) Span, and Elmer (Kathy) Fern. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lou.

The family will welcome guests from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio.
