Herbert "Herb" R. Saffle, age 83, of Litchfield, Ohio, passed away on February 26, 2025. He was born to the late Arnold J. and Anna G. (Cochran) Saffle on April 20, 1941, in Webster Springs, West Virginia. Herb was a Vietnam Veteran; he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He went on to work for General Motors for over 33 years before retiring. In his free time, Herb was a bluegrass musician; he could play any instrument with a string. He loved camping with family and friends, making many wonderful memories with them.

Herb is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Lorene (nee Kiner) Saffle; his son, Troy Saffle; his siblings, Iona Culhane of Palm Harbor, FL, Paul Saffle of Doylestown, OH, Roger Saffle of Chippewa Lake, OH, and Hayword Saffle of Miami, FL; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Chloe Perrine of Webster Springs, WV, Chalie McCourt of Buckhannon, WV, Terry Kiner of Lawton, OK, Carolyn Richardson of Hartford, NC, and Larry Kiner of Medina, OH.

Family will receive friends on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. Graveside service will be on March 4, 2025, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Meet at the funeral home by 12:15 p.m.
