Holly Ann Honsey, 37, wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her, passed away on September 9, 2024, of complications of breast cancer. She was a resident of Medina, Ohio.

Holly was born on May 14, 1987, to Glen and Beverly Steffes in Carroll, Iowa. After Holly graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School in Carroll in 2006, she went on to study at Iowa State University, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Holly transferred to Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2011. After receiving her nursing degree, Holly was a dedicated oncology nurse working at several cancer centers including The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Boston Medical Center.

In 2009, Holly met Ben Honsey. Their bond was immediate and inseparable, together every day from their first meeting forward. They complemented each other in so many ways. They went on to marry on September 3, 2011.

Holly and Ben went on to have four children, Madelyn, Emily, Ryan, and Collin. Holly was a devoted wife and mother, investing her time and energy in activities with her children. Holly cherished time with her family. Holly created "the magic" for her family. She enjoyed birthdays and holidays, taking extra care to make every occasion special. Holly and Ben started their marriage with a honeymoon at Disney World and carried that tradition forward with their children.

Ben and Holly relocated many times in connection with Ben's work for Parker Hannifin, living in Iowa, Massachusetts, Illinois, Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Ohio. Holly was an outgoing, and gregarious person, making friends and building communities wherever she went. She leaves behind friends in each location that she called home. She enjoyed travel, never missing an opportunity for an adventure (or for a Disney trip). Holly was an animal-lover and her cats and dogs held a special place in her heart.  Most of all she relished spending time with her children and attending their events, keeping them active in sports, dance, girl scouts and more. Holly touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
