Jacqueline Lynn
Keene
August 28, 1970 – April 18, 2026
Jacqueline Lynn Keene was born on August 28, 1970, in Middleburg, Ohio. The third daughter of Frank and Deanna Keene, she embraced and occasionally tattled on her wonderful big sisters Donna and Laura. Younger brother Ken became a huge part of her heart once she made sure he understood that she would always be her mama's baby girl. Jackie – Jack to family - grew up in Saline, Michigan, where she loved her high school band and softball and driving too fast (sorry mom and dad, the car was not supposed to end up in that corn field). She studied Criminal Justice at Ferris State, with an unofficial minor in euchre, and was enormously honored to be the first person in her family to graduate from college. She served proudly as a police officer in Lansing, MI until she was forced out of her job because she refused to deny the existence of her partner and their kids. With her characteristic courage, she picked herself up and made a new beginning by following her dad's footsteps to Ford Motor Company, where she machined parts and built vans and made great friends at every plant at which she worked. Jackie ultimately moved back to Cleveland to be near her parents, her aunts Jeannie and Yvette, and grandmother Charline, where she and her wife Meredith met and fell in love in 2012. They quickly covered a Christmas tree with ornaments from all their adventures and loved a menagerie of shared critters but most of all her best pup Faith. Meredith's work ultimately took them to Atlanta, where Jackie happily got rid of her snow shovel and embraced the big city joy of having anything you wanted delivered to your home, from groceries to haircuts to car repairs. Jackie thought you could never have too many pictures in your house, songs on your phone, or gifts on your birthday, even though she could never wait for the actual day for you to open them. She loved tattoos and thrift stores and dogs and her family. Chronic health challenges weakened her body but never her loving, generous heart.
Jackie is survived by her wife of 14 years, Meredith Raimondo; mother Deanna Keene; siblings Donna (Richard) Corker, Laura (Michael) Sweet, and Ken (Kelly) Keene; nieces and nephews, Kyle (Jennifer) Corker, Aaron (Alaina) Corker, Nicole Sweet, Cory Corker, Lorna (Jose) Cabello, Chelsea Corker, Destin (Payton) Keene, Cole Jennings, Aiden Keene and Layla Keene; and 13 great-nieces and nephews; Jackie was preceded in death by her father Frank in January of 2026.
