Jakob Wojnarowski, age 14, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026.
Born on June 17, 2011, in Parma, Ohio, Jakob brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him. Affectionately known as “JJ,” he was known for his happy spirit, constant smile, and unforgettable laugh. He loved loud funny sounds and had a way of lifting the spirits of those around him, even on the hardest days. JJ was a strong fighter who overcame many challenges throughout his life and taught others the meaning of courage and resilience.
JJ is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Mark and Tiffany (Veit) Wojnarowski; his brother, Elijah Wojnarowski; his grandparents, Russell “Papa” and Patricia “Gee” Veit and Carolyn Wojnarowski (Marion, deceased); great-grandparents, Elben and Coletta Fisher; and uncles and aunts, Tim (Michaela), Tom (Joy), Matt (Rachel), and Mary Beth (David); and many cousins and extended family members.
Though his time here was far too short, JJ left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His smile, humor, and loving spirit will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
JJ’s family would like to thank all of the nurses and caregivers who helped care for JJ over the years.
The family will receive guests beginning at 4:00 pm on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church, 3480 Laurel Road, Brunswick, OH. A service will begin at 6:00 pm, with a time of fellowship and food to follow. Please share words of comfort on JJ’s tribute page at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
