James H. Beresford, 65 of Medina, passed away February 18, 2010. He was known affectionately as the "Neighborhood Watch Guy" and loved animals, especially his faithful companion, Smokey, who preceded him in death. Jim is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Steve)Glasenapp; grandchildren, Lauren and Tyler; brother, Paul Russell (Carol) Beresford and caring friend, Cynthia Hankin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Alvin and Ruth Eleanor(nee Roeper) Beresford.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 am Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:00. James' brother, Pastor Paul Beresford, will officiate. A private family burial service will be held at Woodmere Cemetery in Cleveland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of Medina, 425 West Liberty St., Medina, 44256
