James Michael Brandt, affectionately known as "Jimmy," passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Born May 26, 1994, in Cleveland, Ohio, Jimmy was the beloved son of Michael and Karen (Sever) Brandt.

Jimmy enjoyed sports, especially golf and playing softball with friends.  He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling, particularly Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Jimmy's memory will be cherished by his parents, Michael and Karen Brandt; his sister, Ashley (Jeremy) Durbin; and his cherished niece and goddaughter, Sophie. Jimmy is also survived by his grandparents, Eleanor Sever and Annette and Michael Brandt, Sr.; uncles, David Sever, Tim (Karen) Brandt, and Matt Brandt, as well as his aunt Debbie (John) Kertesz, and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Sever.

Jimmy's family will welcome guests from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
