James Anthony Zawistowski, age 67 of Medina, passed away September 23, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 1, 1952 in Cleveland to the late Theodore and Florence (Kusowski) Zawistowski. Jim retired as a custodian at Sharon Elementary School with 15 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and was a member of St. Casimir Parish in Cleveland. Jim is survived by his beloved wife Betsy (Brzozowski) Zawistowski, whom he married in 2000; children Shannon Reilly (Jay) Gibb and Tom Reilly; sisters Lucy (Nick) Nichols and Laverne (Fred) DiFranco; brothers John and Henry Zawistowski; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends, especially Chris Vozar. He was preceded in death by his parents and his faithful companion Rebel who join him in Heaven. The family will receive friends from 2-6:00 pm on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am, Monday, September 30, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Church, 606 E Washington St., Medina, OH 44256. Rev. Joseph A.
