Jane Louise Ellsworth, age 77, of Medina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026. She was born on January 9, 1949, in Rocky River, Ohio, to the late Willard and Louise (Briggs) Barco.
Jane spent much of her formative years in Medina after her family's relocation, where she proudly graduated from Buckeye High School. She dedicated 30 years to the family business, Barco and Sons Greenhouse, serving diligently in the accounting department and contributing to its legacy with her unwavering commitment. Beyond her professional endeavors, Jane had a zest for life that included her passion for driving Nissan sports cars and delighting in the rhythmic melodies of Neil Diamond, Hall and Oates, and classical music. She loved the company of her many miniature poodles over the years. Jane possessed a creative spirit, often seen crafting beautiful stained-glass pieces, and was known for her extensive collection of books, which she cherished as an avid reader. In her youth, she found joy in playing the piano and dancing at the Medina Eagles Aerie 2224. However, her greatest joy came from the cherished moments spent with her grandson and family. Along with her beloved husband, Ned Ellsworth, who preceded her in death on April 24, 2026, Jane is also mourned by her brother, Thomas E. Barco. She leaves behind a legacy of love embodied by her children, Michael (Ann) Crum and Mandi Swaino; her beloved grandson, Matthew Swaino; her brothers, Dan (Susan) Barco, Robert (Kathy) Barco, and Ken (Kathy) Barco; as well as numerous special cousins who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. In honoring her life and legacy, a private service will be held at a later date. Jane will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Ned, in York Township Cemetery.
