Jane Catherine Niese, age 93, of Medina, Ohio passed away on January 7, 2025. Jane was born on November 15, 1931, in Ottawa, Ohio to the late Joseph and Gladys (Konst) Heiing. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a volunteer, and an active member of St Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her love of spending time with family and friends, many were touched by her thoughtful cards and phone calls. Jane's kindness, dedication, and love will be deeply missed by all of those lives that she has touched.

Jane is survived by her children, Rick (Maureen) Niese, Anne (Tom) Illig, and Christine Niese; her grandchildren, Emily (Joe) Laco, Marian (Aaron) Pauli, Rick (Marna) Niese, Laura Illig, Andrew (Beth) Illig, Michael (Janelle) Niese, and Eric Illig; her 20 great grandchildren; her brother, Larry; and her sisters, Joanne, Nancy, and Linda.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard Niese; her son, Mark; her parents, and brothers, Bill and Jim.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E Washington Street, Medina, Ohio 44256 and will be laid to rest at St Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Medina following the service.
