Jane Ann Schumacher, age 78, of Valley City, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2025. Born December 31, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ann (nee Wind) Ramsey. She married David Schumacher in 1968, and together they built a life of love, devotion, and family.

Jane worked for multiple companies as a bookkeeper, but her true vocation was caring for her family. Her life revolved around her husband, children, and grandchildren, and she embodied love, generosity, and genuine selflessness in everything she did.

Jane's memory will be cherished by her devoted husband of 57 years, David Schumacher; her children, David Schumacher, Jr. (Andrea Klopp-Schumacher), John Schumacher (Natalie Gillespie), Scott Schumacher (Tiffany Leake), and Tracy (Mark) Cushler; and her cherished grandchildren, Blake, Victoria, Mason, and Addison. She is also survived by her siblings Trudy (Leonard) Morris, Pat (Ted, deceased) Sidloski, Rose (Glenn, deceased) Ramsey, Ann Morris, Ken (Rori) Ramsey, and Phyllis (Gary) Kubitz; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her dear sister, Marie (Fred) Belcher.

Jane's legacy of unconditional love, kindness, and dedication to family will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio. Jane will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at St. Emilian Byzantine Catholic Church Hall, 1231 Substation Road, Brunswick, Ohio.
