Janet Marie Savage, age 76, of Brunswick, Ohio, peacefully passed away May 10, 2021. She was born July 14, 1944 to John J. and Anne M. (nee Krenek) Smolik in Cleveland, Ohio. Janet attended St. Leo's Elementary and then to Lourdes Academy High School. She went on to gain her Associates degree in Real Estate at Cuyahoga Community College. Janet also volunteered at the VA Hospital where she met her husband, John Savage. She served as a bus driver for 36 years for Brunswick City Schools and was referred to as 'Miss Jan' by her students. She was a member at St. Ambrose Church and had served as a Eucharistic Minister and was active in the Women's Guild. Janet was a kind, loving, generous woman with a good sense of humor and a love for the Lord. She so loved nature, gardening, and feeding the birds. Above all, Janet was a loving and attentive wife, mother and grandmother.

Left to celebrate Janet's life is her loving children, Matthew (Victoria) Savage, Joyelle (Jeramee) Caraballo and daughter-in-law, Shannon Savage; her cherished grandchildren, Nathan, Maximilian, Zane, and Xavier Savage, Victoria, Alexander and Julianna Lawrence, Sophia and Lyllia Caraballo; dear sister, Ann Bard; her many nieces and nephews, and precious furry friend, Lovie. Janet will be missed by all that loved and knew her. Janet is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Savage and son, Mark J. Savage.

Using best distancing practices, family will welcome friends on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 4 to 8 PM at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Ambrose Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212, with an hour prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the American Red Cross, 3747 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115 ~or~ AAMDS.org (Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation).
