Jean Marie Miller, age 64, of Medina, Ohio, passed away with her husband by her side on October 22, 2024. She was born to Jerome E. and Betty Jean (Piirala) Oleksy on May 25, 1960, in San Diego, California.

Jean's life was dedicated to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and had a real passion for spreading the Word of God. She loved serving at our church, Northside Medina Christian. Jean had a passion for helping people with her work as a Certified Surgical Technician. She was employed by the Cleveland Clinic at Fairview Hospital for 30 years and then at the Bath Health and Wellness Center in Fairlawn. She loved animals and volunteered at the Medina County SPCA, where she worked with dogs, cats, and her beloved horses. Jean will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Edward Oleksy; her mother, Betty Jean (Piirala) Oleksy; her former husband, Bruce K. Polenz; and her brothers, Tom Oleksy and Chris Oleksy.

Jean is survived by her husband, Loyd D. Miller; her son, Macklin James (Alexis) Flinn; her step son, Herbie (Aimee) Miller; her granddaughters, Sophie, Sidney, and Savannah Miller; her brother, Mike (Lisa) Oleksy; her sisters, Tricia (Jim) Spayer and Julie Oleksy/Korduba; her sister-in-laws, Denise (Chris) Watroba and Chi Hae Oleksy; her brother-in-law, Larry (Emma) Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family would like to sincerely thank all their dear friends and the staff of Northside Christian Church (both campuses) for their continued support through Jean's long cancer treatment.

Calling hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Northside Christian Church, 7615 Ridge Rd., Wadsworth, OH 44281. The funeral will be at the church following the calling hours. She will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, 785 W. Washington St., Medina, OH 44256. Following the burial there will be a meal served and a Celebration of Life for Jean Marie Miller.
