Jo-Ann Rettig-Rau, age 82, of Medina, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 14, 2024. She was born on February 17, 1942, to the late Lawrence and Ernestine (Brogan) Rettig.

Jo-Ann was the owner of The Creative Framers in Medina, Ohio for 28 years. She was an active member of the Medina County Art League and was the president of Medina's well known 'Art in the Park' for over 20 years. She had a great passion for fine art, theater, sports, history, and driving her cherry red 1968 Corvette convertible. She also enjoyed her volunteer work with the PTA during her children's grade school years as well as counting ballots during elections. Jo-Ann was an active member of the community and was proud to support her beloved hometown of Medina in any way she could. But most of all, Jo-Ann loved her family. She spent every moment she could with family, friends, and of course, her precious fur-babies. She is immensely loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Kathleen Lynne Zambetti (Ronald), Kenneth Lawrence Rau, and Karyn Faye Rau-Goldmeier (Jeannie Rich); her beloved grandchildren, Ryleigh and Reese Goldmeier, and Rocco Zambetti; her nieces, Kimberly Sigler (Todd) and Melissa Moen; her nephew, Michael Cukyne (Katie); great nieces and nephew, Brieann, Madison, Jamie Sigler; and great great nieces and nephews, Vivian, Vincent, Jaelyn, Lincoln, Avery; along with a lifetime of collected friends.
Jo-Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Janet Cukyne, and her nephew, Richard "Ricky" Cukyne.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 19, 2024, from10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256 immediately followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Jo-Ann will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina, Ohio.
