Joan M. Cossel, age 82, of Hinckley, Ohio, passed away on July 3, 2024. She was born to the late Thomas and Susanne (Phillips) Vrabel on January 23, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio. Joan and her late husband, Vince, were founding members of Our Lady of Grace Church in Hinckley where she was a very active and devout member. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, arts, crafts and painting.

Joan is survived by her children, Vince (Christine) Cossel, Dave (Kimberly) Cossel, Kimberly (Scott) Kinyo, Susanne (Randy) Kinyo, and Mary (Benjamin) Alber; her grandchildren, Alexandra (David) Speelman, Jared and Keira Cossel, Matthew, Jack, and June Cossel, Jacob (Abby) Domo, Tyler Domo, Ryan, Joshua, and Abbey Kinyo, and Madison and Makayla Alber; and her sister, Rita Pollock. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Vincent E. Cossel; her son, Matthew Cossel; and her brother-in-law, Edward Pollock.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 1088 Ridge Rd., Hinckley, OH 44233. She will be laid to rest with her husband and son at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City, Ohio.
