Joanne Coudriet

Joanne Coudriet, 95 years old, of Seville, Ohio, passed away on August 2, 2026, at The Village of St. Edwards, surrounded by family.

She was born on November 7, 1930, in Barberton, Ohio to the late Clement Benjamin and Mollie Josephine (Pavlik) Kindig. Joanne was the eldest of three daughters.

Joanne’s love of dance began at the age of four when she started ballet lessons, continuing through her teenage years as a member of the Akron Ballet Company. She attended St. Augustine Grade School and graduated from Barberton High School, where she served as yearbook editor and was an active member of National Honor Society and Student Council.

Joanne married Bernard Coudriet in 1952. Together, they raised five children and shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. In 1959, they moved their family to a farm in Seville, where they established Kindig Coudriet Nursey. They became members of St. Francis Xavier Church, where Bernie faithfully served as an usher for many years and Joanne served as a sacristan.

Joanne found great joy in caring for her flowers and birds and was an avid reader. Above all, she cherished her family, and her love for them was evident in evident in everything she did.

She is survived by her children Phil (Pam) Coudriet, Martin (Cindy) Coudriet, Matthew (Leigh Ann) Coudriet, Paula (Kevin) Coombes; son-in-law Tim Morrisey; twelve grandchildren; Phil (Leanne) Coudriet, Mark Coudriet, Cara (Shawn) Fish, Erica (Brandon) Joffre, Erin (Mike) Falk, Elise (Emily) Coudriet, Conor (Cali, fiancé) Morrissey, Gillian (Bryan) Craig, Sarah (Jared, fiancé) Coudriet, Caitlynn Coudriet, Joe Coudriet, and Chad (Marjorie) Coombes: fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Marcella Judy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard L. Coudriet; daughter Susan M. Morrisey; her parents Clement and Mollie Kindig; and her sisters; Mitzi Kelly and Teresa Taylor.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 612 E. Washington St., Medina, OH 44256 on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

Joanne will be laid to rest with her husband Bernard at St. Francis Cemetery in Medina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or The Village of St. Edwards, 880 Main St., Wadsworth, OH 44281.
