John Vencel Bohaty, age 62, of Chippewa Lake, passed away on January 14, 2025 in Parma, Ohio. He was born in Medina on January 26, 1962, to the late Vencel and Ethel Ann (nee Kalfas) Bohaty.  John owned and operated the business his family started in the 1950's, Bohaty's Farm Equipment in Medina.  He was a devout Christian, philanthropist and would give anyone the shirt off of his back if they needed it.

John is survived by his sister Belinda (Mark-dec.) Rudolph of St. Augustine, Florida; niece Hannah Rudolph; brother-in-law Cliff Evans; cousins Maryann Fabrizio, Jack Svoboda, Dennis Svoboda, Frank Svoboda; Jody Styer, Kevin Bohaty, Russell Bohaty; aunt Nancy Kalfas; uncle  William Kalfas; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Susan Evans and Barbara Bohaty; brother-in-law Mark Rudolph; uncles Raymond, Joseph, Bob and Frank Kalfas; and his aunt Georgianna Svoboda.

The family will receive friends from 4-7:00 on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina with a committal service to follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
