John Brooks
Cameron
April 2, 1960 – April 2, 2026
John Brooks Cameron, born on April 2nd, 1960; passed away on his 66th birthday, April 2nd, 2026.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Garrett Leighton Cameron and Elaine E. Cameron, both of whom preceded him in death.
John earned his law degree from The Ohio State University in June of 1991. He went on to operate a private law practice in Medina, Ohio, from the spring of 1992 until his passing.
His interest in personal injury law was shaped in part by a serious automobile accident he survived while in college, an experience that influenced the course of his legal career and informed his work on behalf of those facing serious injury and loss.
He was active in the local recovery community for many years and was committed to helping others find support, stability, and hope.
Outside of his work, John enjoyed paddle-boarding, attending sweat lodges, meditating, and listening to folk music.
His passions included half priced sushi, thrice loved cars, and matinee movies.
He is survived by his brother, Garrett Cameron; his children, Ian Cameron, William Cameron, Ashley Cameron, and Katherine Cameron; and his grandchildren, Sean Cameron and Evelyn Cameron.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, Ohio 44256. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, April 8th, 2026 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
