John Michael Cerny, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born in Cleveland to the late John and Margaret Cerny.

John shared over 30 wonderful years with the love of his life, Pamela (née Shaw). Together, they built a life filled with love, companionship, and adventure. They enjoyed doing just about everything side by side—especially hiking, working on home projects and were Ham Radio operators. Their travels took them across the Caribbean, California, Arizona to visit family, as well as to Las Vegas and Hawaii. Above all, John cherished their time spent by the ocean. Their relationship was truly a fairytale love.

John dedicated over 43 years of his career as a skilled auto body painter, taking great pride in his work and craftsmanship.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pam; step-daughters Melissa and Jennifer; his brother, Mark (Debbie) Cerny; nephews Adam and Logan; niece Madison; and their many friends and "Ham buddies"; all who will cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his nephew Evan.

A private family service will be held, and John will be laid to rest at Litchfield Cemetery.
