John Holman Johnson

John Holman Johnson, 96 years old, passed away on June 19, 2026. He was born on June 12, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Hettie (Blair) Johnson. John retired from the electrician’s union, Local 38, with 30 years of service and remained a member for a total of 74 years. He enjoyed sitting in the sun, participating in the activities at Danbury Senior Living-especially BINGO, and he loved interacting with the Danbury staff.

He is survived by his daughters Cammie Carrino (Joseph) and Jackie Mitchell (Dennis); granddaughter Nicole Shurina (Matt); great granddaughter Lyla; sister Joyce Gorretta; nieces Laura and Lisa Gorretta, Nancy O’Brien, Kim Korecky; nephew Jeff Korecky; and his numerous great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Carol Ann; and his sister Doris Korecky.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. A graveside service will be 9:00 am, Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Spring Grove Cemetery, 785 East Washington Street, Medina, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
