John Hudak, age 91, passed away on August 13, 2024. John was born to the late Andrew and Anna (Bobal) Hudak on March 28, 1933, in Kecer Peklany, Czechoslovakia. He immigrated to the United States in 1949 at the age of 16. In 1960, John married Sue (Sabol) and went on to have four children, Sue Ann (Ted Chase), Johnny, Michael (Karen), and Carolyn (Mark Constance); his 11 grandchildren, John (Elizabeth), Kaelin, Faith, Josh, Emma (Luke Bernhardt), Brandon, Alyssa, Gabriele, Michael, Noah, and Alec. John often described himself as fortunate to have found his passion early in life. He was a builder of custom homes in a successful career that spanned over 50 years. John was a man of faith who loved to spend time with his family. He also loved to spend time outdoors tending to his garden and yard, hiking the mountains, walking the beaches, and having picnics in the valleys. John and Sue enjoyed traveling the world together. Some of his fondest life moments were the 30+ years of 'Saturday morning coffees' where hours were spent every week together with family catching up on life. John will be forever missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 8:30-9:30am at Waite Funeral Home, Medina. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following the visitation at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City.
