John Daniel "JD" Davis, 66, of Brunswick Hills passed away June 5, 2024.  He was born December 16, 1957 in Cleveland, OH to the late James and Eileen (nee Sloan) Davis.

John was universally loved and respected by all who knew him.  He was beloved by his family, friends, and colleagues.  He was an alumnus of Brush High School (Class of '76) and Miami University (Class of '80).  John dedicated 23 years of service to Southwest Airlines and retired in 2023 as an Operations Agent.  His life's greatest accomplishment was his family, and he loved nothing more than spending time with his kids and grandkids.  He spent decades researching family ancestry to learn more about his roots, and was proud of his Irish and English heritage.  He consumed knowledge and loved music.  Most recently, in his retirement, he developed a passion for learning the culinary arts.  He loved baseball, golf and enjoyed all Cleveland sports, but more than anything, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren's sporting events and choir concerts.  John will forever be remembered as a good man who cared dearly for his family and friends, maintaining close relationships with them his entire life.

John will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his children, James Davis, Matt (Heather) Davis, and Jenny Davis (Jeff Chelednik); grandchildren, Jameson Davis, Julia Davis, and Sadie Capitoni; brother, Jeff Davis; cousin, Steve (Tracy) Sloan; and numerous close friends and colleagues.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Davis.

At his request, there will be no services at this time; however, there will be a celebration of life planned at a later date.
