John Charles Lehmann Sr., age 78, passed away on November 25, 2025.  He was born on March 26, 1947, to the late Harold and Pauline Lehmann in Chicago, Illinois.  John is survived by his two children Jana Gerding (David) and John Jr (Philine), grandchild Olivia Lehmann and his brother Tom (Debbie) and their children Cheryl Rindfleish and Rob Lehmann.

John met his late wife, Patricia, at Carthage College and they were married one week after graduation in 1969.  Choosing Pat as his wife was his proudest moment.  They moved to Medina, OH in 1971, and started a family in 1973.  He was very proud of the family they raised together and all their personal and professional accomplishments.

John always provided well for his family.  He worked in the carpet industry for many years as a sales representative and then as a sales manager.  In 1993 he decided to become self-employed in the financial services industry.  He really liked this career change as he enjoyed helping people plan for their future.  He retired in 2017.

John participated in the Boy Scouts from ages 8 to 19 at their family's church where he ultimately earned his Eagle Scout Award.  Later, when his son was 8 years of age, they both participated in the Boy Scout program where he served as an adult leader.  John was very happy when his son achieved his Eagle Scout Award.  He was an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and always enjoyed his son's football games and his daughter's marching band performances.

Contributions may be made in memory of John to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3355 Medina Rd., Medina, OH 44256 and Scouting America 1325 W. Walnut Ln., Irving, TX 75038.  If flowers are preferred, they can be sent to Waite Funeral Home in Medina by 4:30 pm on December 10th.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 11th from 10 am-12 pm at Waite Funeral Home in Medina.  A funeral service will be held at 12 pm at the funeral home with luncheon to follow.  Burial at Spring Grove Cemetery for those who can attend.  Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
