John Sebek, age 91, of Medina, passed away June 2, 2025, with his family at his side. John was born to the late John and Martha (Stribrny) Sebek on April 8, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio.

John was a talented pattern designer for Ford Motor Company and retired after 42 years of service. John enjoyed woodworking, gardening and especially music. John's love of music inspired him to play the accordion with his band The Harmonaires. In his earlier years, he was involved in Brunswick baseball and soccer, and he coached the high school's JV boys' soccer team. John's greatest love was spending time with his family, and he took great care and pride in his annual 4th of July parties.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Claire (Knabenshue) Sebek. John is also survived by his loving children Brenda Moody (Robert), Pamela Carothers (Bruce), David Sebek (Shannon), and John C. Sebek. John's cherished grandchildren are Melissa Moody-Flores, Adam Moody (Dani), Courtney Dong (Su), Cameron Stauffer (Michael), and Hannah, Sydney and Alexandra Sebek. John is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren: Roberto and Alejandro Flores; Sadie, Remi and Rex Moody and Sophie and Theo Dong. Lastly, John is survived by his sister, Marsha Balzer and many other family and friends.

The family will celebrate John's life privately.
