Joseph V. Gezymalla, 90, of Brunswick, passed away October 5, 2025.

He was born in Osceola Mills, PA on February 14, 1935 to Joseph and Josephine (Ciosek) Gezymalla.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Josephine; son, Mark (Susan) Gezymalla; step-children, Denise (Steve) Topp, Robert Arendash, and Phyllis (Jack) Stephan; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 35 years, Gloria; his parents; five sisters and three brothers.

Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Ambrose Parish in Brunswick and the Knights of Columbus. He was a fan of all Cleveland sports and the Ohio State Buckeyes, and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time at his beach house in Ocean City, MD.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at St. Ambrose Parish, 929 Pearl Rd, Brunswick. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted.
