Joseph Koenig, age 91, passed away surrounded by family on July 8, 2023. "Hot Rod" was a retired die sinker who worked at Alcoa for over 40 years.

Joseph was a beloved husband for 71 years to Joan (nee Martin) Koenig. A loving father to Cynthia Kodek (deceased) (James), Joseph Koenig (Deborah), and Sandra Battistone (Timothy). Adored Papa to James (Stephanie) and Jason Kodek, Joseph (Danika) and Matthew (Amy) Koenig, Timothy Battistone and Samantha Soltis (Benjamin). A great grandfather of five. A dear brother of Edythe Udovich (Raymond). And a friend to all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, OH 44212. Followed by a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A private family burial will happen at a later date.
