Joshua E. Kristek, age 44 of Wadsworth, passed away October 24, 2021.  He was born in Orange County, Florida to the late Robert A. and Linda (Woods) Kristek, Jr.  Joshua was a corrections officer for the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center for the last three years.  He served his country proudly in the US Army.

Joshua is survived by his beloved wife, Amelia G. (Kisilewicz); cherished children Alexandra, Jacqueline, and Samuel; dear brothers and sisters Michelle (Steven) Johnson, Robert (Cindy) Kristek, Elizabeth Kristek, and James Kristek; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Amy (Damien) Burt, Adam (Jessica) Kisilewicz, Allison (Dustin) Kisilewicz,and Alex ( Samantha) Kisilewicz; and many nieces and nephews.

Joshua was a devoted husband and loving father.  He was an avid football fan loyal to the 49er's and enjoyed experiencing life through his children eyes.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, November 8, 2021, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina 44256.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 8:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
