Julie A. Harris

March 24, 1970 – March 19, 2025

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Julie Harris, on March 19, 2025, five days before her 55th birthday.  Julie was born in the Atlanta, Georgia area but spent her childhood and early adult life on the Westside of Cleveland before moving to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  More recently, Julie returned to Ohio making her home in Medina County with her beloved partner of 18 years, Scott Stanton.

She obtained her undergraduate degree from Cleveland State University in Business, her M.B.A. from Baldwin Wallace University and passed the CPA exam in Ohio.  She began her career with National City Bank as an Officer, before becoming a very successful staffing specialist and then opening her own recruiting firm.

Julie's strong Christian Faith and her Spirit of love and compassion guided her in a life of service and support.  With great empathy and sensitivity, she was able to reach out to a remarkable number of women who needed guidance in their lives.  Julie celebrated 38 years of sobriety in February 2025.  She also had a great love of animals owning several horses caring for and riding them.  In addition, she owned many different types of dogs during her life that brought her much joy and happiness.

In addition to Scott, Julie is also survived by her parents Emory and Gail Harris (Spain), her twin sister Katherine Flatscher (Stefan), her brother Franklin Harris (Kelly), Uncle Greg Spain (Angie), her Uncle Wesley Harris (Ava), her Aunt Jenny Neff (Tim).  She also loved her niece, Grace Flatscher, nephews William and Philip Harris and her 8 first cousins and many other family members.

The family is planning a celebration of Julie's life in the next few months and asks that you donate to Grateful Hearts Senior Dog Rescue located in Chillicothe, Ohio.  https://gratefulheartsseniordogrescue.org
