Julie Jo
Molloy
February 19, 1950 – January 6, 2025
Julie Jo Molloy, whose given name was Claudia Jo Anderson, 74, of Wadsworth, Ohio, passed away on January 6, 2025, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Julie was born on February 19, 1950, in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of William Joseph Graves and Ginnie Wadsworth; and was adopted by her Grandparents, Waldemar Anderson and Lula M. Anderson in 1956. Julie lived on her own from the time she was 14 years old, and was a determined young woman, who made her living as a dancer, traveling across the United States with various dance companies, before settling in California. She spent her final 15 years living in Ohio, where she was surrounded by family that loved and cared for her.
Julie married John Michael Molloy on April 21, 1984. John was the love of her life, and they were married for 35 years. They took great joy in renewing their wedding vows many times throughout their marriage. Julie cared for John for 7 years as he battled ALS, until John went to join his maker on April 7, 2019. Julie has missed him terribly these last 5 years and has finally found peace walking with him again.
Julie was a vibrant, vivacious woman, who loved music, dancing, being with family, and anything that sparkled. Julie was generous to a fault and had been known to take her own coat (during a snowstorm) and give it to a homeless person because they needed it more than her. Her greatest joys came from making others laugh. She was always joking, even when things were challenging and took pleasure in teasing and playing with people and making others laugh. Even during her hospital stays she would proudly describe how she had her nurses and doctors laughing with her.
Julie was a fighter and survivor who refused to let life beat her. She valued the family she created, and her greatest pride was being the mother of 6, grandmother of 16, and great-grandmother of 2. She devoted her life to her family, helping to care for most of her grandchildren at various times during her life. Remaining to cherish Julie's memory are her children: Christy L. Collins (Chris Collins), Brendan L. Koravos (Chrissy Koravos), David M. Molloy, and Amy C. Norman (Brad Norman); her Grandchildren: Corey Halloway, Dominic Anderson, Ryan Houghton, Daniel Houghton, Zachary Koravos, Jessica Houghton, Angela Guzman, Jonathan Houghton (Raya Houghton), Jazzlyn Anderson, Nathan "Yuma" Wesig, Samual Wesig, Rebecca Wesig, Sofia Koravos, Garret Norman, Katelyn Norman, and Aviendha Collins; and her Great Grandchildren: Aubrie Ann Koravos and Maverick J Koravos.
Preceding her in death are her beloved husband, John M. Molloy, her daughter Tammie "Jennifer" Anderson, and her son, Jason C. Anderson.
She will be missed by so many.
