Karen J. Benton

Karen J. Benton, 63 years old, of Lodi, Ohio, passed away on September 28, 2026. She was born on August 23, 1963 in Lodi, Ohio to John Lester and Carol Jean (Baca) Hoyt. Karen worked for many years as a waitress at Bob Evans.

She will be lovingly remembered for the deep love she had for her children, grandchildren, and mother, who were the center of her world. She had a special place in her heart for cats and dogs, many of which she lovingly groomed and proudly showed over the years. She also found great joy in planting trees and watching them grow, leaving behind a lasting reminder of her love for nature and the world around her. Her nurturing spirit, devotion to her family, and compassionate heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved mother Carol Jean Hoyt and brother John Edward Hoyt (Lori) children Kyle Benton, Cody Benton (Tiana) and Paula Stanar (Patrick); grandchildren Chase, Christopher, Donovan, Arthur and Grayden, and many nieces. She is preceded in death by her father, John Lester Hoyt.
