Karla Jeane Zweifel (née Brooks), age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 11, 2026, in Medina, Ohio.

Karla was born in Lodi, Ohio, she lived a life defined by creativity, resourcefulness, and humble strength. Family was always at the center of her world. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, delighting in giving them scooter rides at every opportunity and filling their lives with laughter and love.

Karla was the first resident of Anne Tubbs Estates, where she quickly became the heart of the community and the "mother" figure to fellow residents. She had a deep love for crafting, led a local crocheting group, and generously volunteered her time with the Society for Handicap Citizens. A devoted fan of Harry Potter, she carried a sense of imagination and wonder throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Zweifel; her father, Carlie (Marguerite) Brooks; her mother, Dixie Taylor; her brother, Phillip Brooks; and Puddles, her cherished cat.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Charlotte Masi; her grandchildren, Chauna Waterbury (Billy Pickering), Macy Waterbury (Dan Benna), Tori Roth (Mike), and Mateo Ramirez (Serenity); her great-grandchildren, Rylee, Kruze, and Parker Pickering, and Raquel, Owen, Zachary, and Hudson Roth; her sister-in-law, Miriam Brooks; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Waite Funeral Home 765 N Court St., Medina, OH 44256.  Karla will be laid to rest in the York Township Cemetery.
