Kathryn A Flesse, age 82, passed away in Medina, OH surrounded by her loving family on August 16, 2025.  She was born in Youngstown OH to Walter & Anne Scheetz.

We lost our beloved mom and grandma. After years of fighting Lewy Body Dementia she is finally resting in peace and won back control over her mind.  Despite her struggle with a horrible disease we knew each and everyday she loved her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Growing up, Kathie, was a dedicated school teacher and wonderful cook and baker and had an amazing vocabulary.  Kathie was married to Ken for 58 years, who passed a little over a year ago. She missed him terribly and we are grateful they are reunited in heaven.

Kathryn is survived by her loving children, Charles Kenneth Flesse III (Lisa), Kristine Douglas-Korber (John), Thomas Flesse (Amanda), and Erin Thies (Kevin); her cherished grandchildren, Mitch Flesse (Nikolina), Austin Douglas, Taylor Flesse, Samuel Thies (Laura), Liddy Thies, and Caroline Thies; great-grandchildren Louisa Claire, Cameron John, and Dominic Vincent; sister Mary Scheetz  and brother Thomas (Alejandra) Scheetz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and granddaughter, Nicole Douglas, and brother Robert Scheetz.

Memorial Visitation will be Thursday, August 21st, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 22nd, 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina, OH 44256.
