Kenneth J
Rozak
January 17, 1941 – September 18, 2018
Kenneth John Rozak, age 77 of Medina, passed away September 18, 2018. He was surrounded by his family who loved him dearly. As his soul slipped through their fingertips, he was eagerly received by his heavenly family, who had been anxiously awaiting his homecoming. He was born on January 17, 1941 in Cleveland to the late John and Stella (Stefanski) Rozak. Kenneth served his country in the US Army. He graduated from The University of Dayton, where he played in the band. After graduating Kenneth worked for the Cleveland Water Department, where he met his longtime friend, Ted Popek. He and his friend enjoyed playing in a band together and dreamed of taking their polka band on the road. Their dreams, however, were derailed by the new dream of marriage and children. He retired from a long career in the bank industry as a loan officer with numerous institutions, including Wayne Savings and Cuyahoga Savings. After his retirement he enjoyed working at Wal-Mart in Medina.
Kenneth was a member of the Rotary and Kiwanis in Lodi and was a former Leader and active participant in the Boy Scouts. He was a Cleveland sports fanatic who didn't care if it was the Browns, Indians, or Cavaliers, he was watching and cheering them on. Kenneth was a kind, hardworking, humble, devoted family man and always put his family first above everything else. He had the best sense of humor and enjoyed silly comedies like Weekend at Bernie's and Christmas Vacation .
Kenneth is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 38 years, Colleen Leigh (Winbrenner) Rozak, whom he affectionately referred to as his "Brown Eyes". Together they raised 7 loving children: Harold (Tammy) Rozak, Patricia Lavery, Marilyn (Christopher Pastor) Rozak, Michael Rozak, Michael (Kerry) Burgdorfer, Betsy Rozak, and John (Breanna) Rozak, all of whom he was extremely proud of and would brag about any chance he got. He leaves behind 11 dear grandchildren: Megan, Maddy, Kyle, Brennen, Bailey, Jason, Brandon, Jacob, Liam, Joey, and Brooklyn. Kenneth had high hopes and big dreams for all of his grandchildren and there was nothing he enjoyed more than watching them grow. Kenneth was an only child but grew up with numerous cousins who he was very close to and loved as brothers and sisters. He is also survived by his former daughter-in-law: Michelle Rozak who was very special to him and numerous other friends who he considered to be extended family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Medina Cleveland Clinic Hospital, especially the ICU, for the incredible care that they gave to Kenneth and also for the kindness and support that they showed to his family.
To honor the memory of Kenneth, be kind to one another. Practice forgiveness and don't hold grudges. Hug and kiss your loved ones and tell them that you love them every chance that you get and never, ever forget that family is everything.
