Kenneth L. Wilson, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, has lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a unique sense of humor that brightened the lives of all who knew him. Born on June 15, 1940, in Miamisburg, Ohio, Kenneth was the beloved son of Joseph and Jewel Wilson. His formative years in Miamisburg laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and a deep commitment to family and community.
Kenneth's journey of love and partnership began over 65 years ago when he married his devoted wife, Arlene Wilson. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring companionship. Their marriage has been a testament to mutual respect and unwavering support. Kenneth and Arlene were blessed with a son, Steve Wilson, who, along with his spouse Inju, carried forward the family legacy of kindness and resilience.
A proud graduate of Ashland University, Kenneth earned a degree in Business Administration, which served as a stepping stone for a diverse and fulfilling career. His early years saw him serve his country with honor in the Navy for four years, a period that instilled in him a deep sense of discipline and service. Following his military service, Kenneth embarked on a successful career with AT&T, where he worked diligently until his retirement at the age of 58. Even in retirement, his industrious spirit kept him engaged, whether through his part-time work at Home Depot or his passion project of repairing personal computers.
Kenneth's personal life was as rich and rewarding as his professional one. He found great joy in tending to his garden, cultivating fruit trees, and maintaining a pristine lawn—a testament to his love for the outdoors and his appreciation for nature's beauty. His quick wit and playful demeanor, described fondly as 'ornery' by his medical team, were hallmarks of a personality that brought joy and laughter to those around him.
The family that Kenneth and Arlene nurtured expanded to include three cherished grandchildren: Camille Wilson, Michael Stump, and Maddie Stump. These grandchildren were a source of immense pride and joy, and Kenneth delighted in their accomplishments and the time spent together.
Kenneth was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Christine Stump, whose memory he held dear. Through life's challenges and triumphs, Kenneth's strength and resilience were palpable, guiding his family with wisdom and love.
Friends and family gather to celebrate Kenneth's remarkable life at Waite Funeral Home, located at 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio on Thursday, November 12, 2026 from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, OH with Navy Honors. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Research Association in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan, honoring Kenneth's legacy of care and concern for others.
Kenneth L. Wilson will forever be remembered for his steadfast love, his devotion to family, and his enduring spirit—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to Kenneth’s family at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
