Kenneth W.
Wisniewski
May 15, 1943 – October 8, 2024
Kenneth W. Wisniewski, age 81, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 15, 1943, to the late Henry and Agnes (Cook) Wisniewski in Cleveland,Ohio.
Kenny served his country from 1964-1970 in the Ohio Army National Guard. He loved the outdoors; he enjoyed camping, fishing & was an intrepid boater of Lake Erie, spending many a season on Put-In-Bay. He was an avid history buff, and especially enjoyed anything to do with the Civil War. He also had an appreciation and passion for The Old West, classic cars and traveled The Mother Road Route 66. A proficient mechanic and jack of all trades, there was almost nothing he could not take apart, fix, build or put together! Kenny enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a Railroad Master Mechanic. He was well known for his comedic t-shirt collection and obsession for mules. He taught his family life lessons that will be passed on for generations by his example. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend to many, he will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Lynette (Villoni) Wisniewski; his beloved children, Michelle (Dan) Werner, Kenneth J. Wisniewski, Victoria (Greg Ellis) Garber, Craig (Jean) Wisniewski, Stacy Foster, Jeramie (Kristy) Foster; his ten grandchildren, Cortney, Emma, Nevin, Sophia, Kyleigh, Jillian, Kellin, Cole, Scarlet, Dashell; his siblings, Roger (Marilyn) Wisniewski, Dennis (Doreen) Wisniewski, Janice (Noel) Martinez, and David (Veda) Wisniewski; many nieces, nephews, and cousins and a lifetime of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Barbara Wisniewski; his grandson, Dylan Wisniewski, and his daughter, Stephanie Foster.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 13, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256 and again on Monday, October 14, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Kenny will be interred at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 10000 Miles Ave, Cleveland, OH 44105 immediately following the service. Continuing in the spirit of the Old West his casket will be drawn to his final resting place by a caisson and Francis the mule (and no, not the talking one!).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Kenny's memory be made to The Greater Cleveland Salvation Army Food Bank, which held a special place in his heart as they carried his family while growing up during hard times.
