Kimberly Dawn
Meier

4:00 - 6:00 pm (Eastern time)
Kimberly “Kim” Dawn Meier, 53, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away peacefully with family and loved ones by her side on July 30, 2026.
Kim was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 29, 1973 and raised in love by her parents Ronald and Mary Studer. A Brunswick High School graduate in the Class of 1991, Kim followed her heart which guided her to a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Kent State University and a master’s degree from Akron University. These degrees, including a Reading Endorsement and the completion of post-graduate coursework allowed her to impact countless children during an incredible 25-year career as an elementary school teacher at H.G. Blake Elementary School in the Medina City School District. Kim’s influence on children was inspirational as students would often seek her out years later to say “thank you” or even to recognize her as an “Outstanding Teacher” during district-wide events.
Above all else, Kim cherished being a mother to her two amazing sons, Nathan and Jacob. Her love for both truly showed how proud she was of who they are and all they accomplished. Kim could often be found cheering her sons on from the sidelines at school athletic events, offering words of encouragement and showing, through all of her actions, just how deeply they were loved. Sharing their lives, listening to their stories with each passing year and creating memories together brought her immeasurable joy.
This love and compassion was also felt by family, friends and all those who came across Kim’s path. She enjoyed spending time in the sunshine and at the ocean with her family, wearing her flip-flops as much as possible and “loving” on her dog, Charlie. She could also be found laughing at comedy shows, curling up on the couch with a scary movie or enjoying a meal with family and friends. Kim will forever be remembered for the unconditional love she showed everyone, her genuine kindness and her unwavering belief in living life to its fullest.
Left to cherish Kim’s memory are her children Nathan Meier and Jacob Meier; sister Sharon (John) Black; brother Mark (Tracie) Schaab; niece Ashley Hofflin (Steve Kraplin); nephew Andrew Schaab, extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know and love her. She was proceeded in death by her parents.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 4-6 PM at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio. Kim will be laid to rest, next to her parents, at Woodvale Cemetery. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.waitefuneralhome.com.
