Horvath
May 12, 1938 – December 29, 2024
Laszlo I. Horvath was born in Somlószőlős, Hungary on May 12, 1938. He had a challenging childhood, raised by his mother after he lost his father due to complications from the war in 1944. He escaped Hungary after the 1956 revolution and eventually ended up in Cleveland, Ohio. He married the love of his life, Rozalia (Torma), in 1962. They were married for 62 years. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served 2 years. The family resided in Parma and then they later moved to Seville, Ohio, living the American dream.
His longest tenure of 40 years was at Industrial Castings. He worked his way up from a die cast machine operator to plant production supervisor. He retired in 1999. They traveled and camped across the country he loved.
Laszlo maintained his Hungarian heritage instilling it in his children and grandchildren. He was a passionate gardener and took pride in his abundant harvest, sharing it with family and friends.
Laszlo often said he had a great life and should have wished for more because he got everything he could have ever wanted.
Laszlo is survived by his beloved wife, Rozalia; sister, Sari; son, Laszlo (Karen); daughter, Erika (Peter Stiasny, deceased); grandchildren, Kriszti (Andrew), Julia (Bobby); great grandchildren, Henry, Cecilia, and baby girl.
