Lauren Elizabeth Ramey, age 37, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 19, 1986, in Medina, Ohio to parents Jeffrey L. and Marcia K. (Huffman) Ramey. Lauren was a joy to be around, she was sweet, thoughtful, kind and made friends easily. She was an avid reader and loved to travel here and abroad, especially to any beach. Lauren was a three-sport athlete and enjoyed coaching rugby. She was a personnel trainer at CH Robinson in global logistics. But above all she adored her son and her family, everyone knew that she was the happiest in their company. A loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend she will be greatly missed.

Lauren is survived by her son, Alikay Xen Ramey Wilson; her longtime companion, Jared Wilson; the young man that her and Jared cared for, Jerry Hickman; parents, Jeff and Marcia; her brother, James L. Ramey (Kera Hall); her beloved pet, Mia; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lifetime of friends and colleagues.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Marianne Huffman; and her paternal grandparents, James and Phyllis Ramey.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256.
