Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Lawrence Stott Iglai passed away at the age of 80 on August 28, 2024. He was born August 22, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Andrew and Genevieve (nee Stott) Iglai.

Larry was a member of Local 270 and worked in construction maintenance, retiring from The Illuminating Company after more than 3 decades of dedicated service. He was always willing to lend a hand to friends and family. Everyone who knew him can attest to a time when he either made something for them, fixed something for them, helped them work on something, or secretly "supervised" them when they were completing a project. Being with his family was his priority, and he particularly enjoyed family picnics and camping trips. He was also an ice cream connoisseur, and could often be found in his favorite chair, enjoying a bowl of vanilla ice cream. Larry touched the lives of everyone who knew him, and he will be dearly missed.

Larry's memory will be cherished by his wife of more than 57 years, Marian (nee Hranka); children, Christopher (Ann) Iglai, Karen (Charlie) Tick, and Sarah Iglai (Tom Cahill); grandchildren, Anastasia (Jacob), Candace (Tommy), Alyssa (Steven), Kaitlyn, Taylor (Jon), Megan, Zachary, Andrew, Devin, and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Liam, Grant, Mila, Blakely, Maci, Harper, Carter, and Braxton; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Andrew, Joseph, and Martha.

The family will welcome guests from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, September 9, 2024, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City.
