Obituary

Lawrence Meuler, aka Larry, son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandpa, great grandpa, muddler, and Big Lar passed away peacefully at home on September 20th, 2025 with his son and daughter nearby.   Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Marie Meuler and his wife of 56 yrs, JoAnn Meuler.

Larry was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the 2nd of 12 children.   Larry was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1962-1965.   He was a manufacturers rep for Faultless before moving the family to Medina, Oh to work for his Father- in -Law's company. He then worked for Equipment for Industry to end his working career.   He was active in the Forest Meadows Lake Association for several years after coming to Medina.   He was also a member of Medina VFW Post 5137 where he took care of the annual Golf Outing and loved to be that person in charge.

Larry is survived by his son Sam (Michelle) Meuler, daughter Amy (Chris) Darr, grandchildren Samantha (Andrew) Kahana, Bailey (Kayla) Meuler, Adam Darr, Meri Darr, and Emily Darr, great grandchildren Anderson Kahana and Theodore Meuler.   Larry is also survived by his siblings, Marilyn Ahrenhoerster, Mike (Jane) Meuler, Greg (Kathy) Meuler, Phil (Mary) Meuler, Andy (Ellen) Meuler, Joanne (Pat) Stephens, Steve (Jonathan) Meuler, Mark (Debbie) Meuler, Ken (Susi) Meuler, Laura (Rick) Schill, and Bob (Gina) Meuler.   He is also survived by a rather large amount of nieces and nephews and to list all of them would take up an entire page of the paper.

Sam and Amy want to thank everyone who called to check on Dad and offer any help.    We also want to thank: the aides from Cornerstone who took care of dad at home the last few weeks, the Cleveland Clinic Hospice who helped to make sure dad was comfortable throughout their care,  our family who helped us to get through this, and especially our spouses Michelle and Chris who (while they may not know it) helped us to keep everything together.

Dad was very vocal about Veterans issues and really liked the organization Folds of Honor.  In lieu of flowers please feel free to donate in Larry's name to: Folds of Honor, Department #13, Tulsa Ok 74182 or www.foldsofhonor.org

The Family will host friends and family on Sunday, October 12th  at Waite  Funeral Home, 765 N Court St., Medina, Oh 44256 from 1:00pm-2:45pm followed by a brief Memorial at 2:45pm-3:30pm.
