Lee Alan
Hebebrand
April 22, 1952 – January 1, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lee Alan Hebebrand, who entered his eternal rest on January 1, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on April 22, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Louis and Janis (nee: Bauck) Hebebrand, Lee was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A deep appreciation of beauty and love of people led Lee to work for over thirty years as a nightwatchman at the renowned Cleveland Museum of Art, where he was known for his kind Christian spirit and playful sense of humor. Though he pursued a college education, it was his love of Jesus that drove his continual study of Scripture and the intricacies of God's creation. A faithful born-again Christian, Lee was a long-standing member of Chardon Baptist Church, where he served as a children's Sunday School teacher for many years. He enjoyed learning about American history—especially the Civil War era—reading, and watching old movies. Lee also enjoyed hiking, spending time outdoors with family and friends, and telling stories and jokes. He was a wonderful, generous, and dedicated brother and uncle.
Lee is survived by his caring sisters, Lori Shire and Lynn (Thomas) Edgar; nieces Carolyn (Robbie) Churgovich and Hannah Edgar; nephew Jon Edgar; great-nieces and great-nephews Sophia, Layla, and Dustin Churgovich; and Madelyn and Daniel Edgar. The love and bond they shared will continue to live in their hearts and memories until they are reunited with him in heaven.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 9th, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, OH 44212. Also, on Friday visitation from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.; the funeral service immediately follows at 11:30 a.m. in the Waite Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Beach Cemetery in Hinckley, Ohio.
