Leroy Elmer Ward, Sr., age 78, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 24, 2024, in Litchfield, Ohio. He was born on May 10, 1946, in Wellsville, NY to the late Emmit and Mary Augusta (McCallister) Ward. Leroy retired as a long-haul truck driver for over 40 years after working 11 years at the Ford Motor Company. He was a long-time resident of Litchfield and enjoyed the area. A father, grandfather, great grandfather; he will be missed.

Leroy is survived by his four children, Karen M. (Robert) Turcotte of East Sparta, OH, Roy (Janet) Ward of Snow Camp, NC, Gail L. (Ron) Allen of Pleasant Garden, NC, and Dianne L. (Stuart) Greenberg of Clearwater, Fl; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Martha Mitchell, James Ward, Charles Ward, Janet Hodgkins, his son, Robert Kincaid Ward, and granddaughter Sasha L. Burtze.
