Linda Marlene
Schuster
December 26, 1947 – June 7, 2025
Linda Marlene Schuster, 77, of Valley City, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on June 7, 2025. Born December 26, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, Lynn was the daughter of the late Clarence and Marie (Koenig) Snarsky.
To know Lynn was to love her. Her warmth, grace, and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of crossing her path. She was the classiest woman in any room-not because of what she wore or had but because of her gentle strength, humility, and dignity with which she carried herself.
Lynn began her professional journey in the world of advertising right out of high school, showcasing her creativity and sharp mind. She continued to evolve and grow in her career in banking and accounting. Lynn's diligence, integrity, and meticulous nature made her a respected and valued colleague. Retiring from Alltel Phone Company, now known as Verizon, as a payroll accountant.
It was her role as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend is where Lynn truly shone. While raising her beloved daughter, she also opened her heart and home to others-becoming a second mother to her daughter's friends, offering them comfort, encouragement, and unconditional love. Her nurturing spirit was boundless, her compassion unmatched. Lynn loved her two bothers, Richard and Carl. They always had a special places in her heart.
Her greatest joy, however, came from being a grandmother. Lynn adored Brianna and Jaden beyond words, pouring her love, time, and heart into every moment she spent with them. Whether she was reading them stories, visiting the Christmas lights, having their annual Polar Express movie night, or simply offering one of her warm hugs. She created a legacy of love that will live in their hearts forever. She was, without question, an extraordinary grandmother.
A devout Christian, Lynn lived her faith quietly but profoundly. She led with love, served with humility, and offered grace freely. Her belief in kindness as a way of life was evident in every thoughtful gesture and tender word. Lynn was also a passionate steward of the Earth, finding peace and joy in her garden. Her love for the environment was not just a hobby-it was an extension of her deep care for all living things.
Lynn will be remembered not only for her sweet and gentle spirit, but for the countless lives she touched simply by being herself. Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the time we had, the love she gave, and the example she set. She was truly the matriarch of her family, and she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
Lynn's memory will live on with her daughter, Kristen (Kenneth) Behnke; grandchildren, Brianna (Bronx) Baxter and Jaden Behnke; brother, Carl (Dessa) Snarsky; and longtime companion and friend, Charles Averell. She will also be fondly remembered by Brian, Karen, Evelyn, and Elliott Averell, as well as countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Marie Snarsky; brother, Richard Snarsky; and the love of her life, her husband, Ernest "Bert" Schuster.
A service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, June 20, 2025, in the mausoleum at Hope Memorial Gardens, 2447 Center Road, Hinckley, Ohio.
