Linda Mae Svec, age 84, of Medina, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday. She was the beloved wife of John Svec, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Berwyn, Illinois, and raised in Menominee, Michigan, Linda loved baseball, ice skating, and sledding as a child. She proudly served her country in the United States Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where she met the love of her life, John. After moving to Ohio, she devoted herself to raising a family and brightening the lives of everyone around her.

Linda was a devoted mother to Mike Svec, Mark Svec, and Jeff (Nicole) Svec, and a proud grandmother to Brenden, Alexis, and Maximus. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she found her greatest happiness in the simple moments spent together with those she loved most. She was the dear sister of Sue (Don) Leslie, and a cherished aunt and great-aunt to many. A devoted Catholic, Linda drew strength and comfort from her faith. She will be remembered as one of the kindest and sweetest souls, with a gentle spirit and generous heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court St., Medina, OH.  Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 3100 Old Weymouth Rd., Medina, OH with visitation from 9-10 a.m.  Luncheon at Waite Funeral Home immediately following.

Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
