Linda H. Sweeney

Linda Hallett Sweeney (née Ryan), age 87, passed away on May 3, 2026, in Medina, Ohio. She was born in Buffalo, New York, to the late Charles and Linda Ryan.

Linda was a longtime resident of Wooster, Ohio, where she was a devoted member of Grace Church. She worked as an ophthalmic technician for over 15 years and was also active with the Medina Chapter of the King’s Daughters. Linda found great joy in needlepoint and cross stitch, and she especially loved cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to her garden, and she and her beloved husband, Ed, made many cherished trips to Amish Country.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Edward Sweeney; her daughter, Betsy Zuk; her parents; and stepson, Mike Sweeney.

Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Jenny (Ron) White, Katie (Drew) Mundon, Bill (Tammy) Wardle, Matt Sweeney, Cyndy Kaiber, and Deborah (Cliff) Scott; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and her brother, John (Beth) Ryan; daughter-in-law, Pam Sweeney; and son-in-law, Dan Zuk.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to Grace Church, 4599 Burbank Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
