In Loving Memory

Lloyd Sheridan Florian, 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Friday, April 24, 2026. Born October 12, 1935, in Parma, Ohio, Lloyd was the son of the late Herman and Mildred Florian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Richard and Wesley. Lloyd is survived by his loving daughters, Marina Rush (Bob, deceased), Lori Mc Kinney (Michael McKinney), Doreen Cudnik (Jack Cudnik), his brother James Florian (Carol) and sister Janet Schillace (David). He was also the proud Grandpa to Dylan and Aidan Rush, Emily Seltzer (Ryan), Megan and Kyle McKinney, Jessica and Mark Cudnik, and great granddaughter Jane Seltzer.

Lloyd joined the U.S. Naval Reserves, serving his country for 24 years.

Lloyd worked for many years for Parma City School District as a bus driver, custodian, and later as the high school’s drivers-ed teacher. In his spare time, he enjoyed making and selling popcorn for a dime to the kids watching old movies on Saturday mornings in the local elementary schools, was active in Parents Without Partners, and enjoyed books, movies, and family vacations relating to anything Civil War and WWII. Following his retirement, he continued to work as a drivers-ed teacher in Medina with Pro Driving School because he truly loved the students.

Lloyd had a deep love for his cats and German Shepherd, Bandit, rooting for the Browns and Buckeyes, watching birds from his window, and the time spent sharing holiday meals with the whole family. Lloyd had a positive impact on many people, young and old, well respected, and will be missed very much.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm on June 13, 2026, at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 5930 State Rd., Parma, Ohio 44134.
