Lloyd Winterstein, 87, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully Saturday in Medina, surrounded by his family. He was born November 22, 1927 in Griswold, IA to the late Thomas and Nora (nee Page) Winterstein. Lloyd proudly served his country during World War II and Korea in the US Army. He worked at GM as a pipefitter for 43 years, was highly involved at First Baptist Church in Strongsville, OH, and a very dedicated family man. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nell (nee Sweeney), children Laurel (David) Hawk, Thomas (Jeannie), Bruce(Laura), Douglas (Cindy), Gregory (Lora) Winterstein, and Kristen (Brad) Markin, 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and brother Leland Winterstein. Preceded in death by brother Harold and sister Virginia. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Waite and Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, OH 44212, and 1 hour prior to services at the church. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, 17444 Drake Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church or the charity of your choice.
