Obituary

Lois Marie Brandon, 90, of Medina, previously of Findlay, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020. She was born on May 6, 1929, in Columbus, to the late Benjamin and Mearle (Bailey) Hudson.

Lois worked as a pharmacy technician at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay for many years. She was a member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was a supporter and volunteer at St. Matthews transitional housing, operation homes, and the salvation army

She had a strong love of family, and took pride in her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked spending her time golfing, attending social outings and traveling with friends. She found pleasure in gifting her homemade knit washcloths to the people she loved. Collecting cookbooks and baking was something she was fond of, and excelled at gardening, even creating a beautiful garden at her nursing home and visiting it daily. Lois and Ray were proud to be part of the Ohio State Highway Patrol family. She remained committed to OSP throughout her life.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Cathie Sklarski, of Naples, FL, Jenny (Douglas) Taylor, of Mechanicsburg, PA, Susan (Brian) Brant, of Olmsted Falls, OH, and Barbara Brandon, of Bonita Springs, FL; her grandchildren, Amanda, Benjamin (Danielle), Jacob (Antoinette), Sarah (Jim), Daniel (Stephanie), Michelle, Michael (Eugenia), and Brandon (Kira); and her great grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Fionna, Everett, Elyse, Ayden, and Indie.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray E. Brandon; her parents; brothers, Dale Hudson and Ernest Hudson; and her sisters, Esther Burchfield and Marjory Goebbel.

Donations in Lois' memory may be made to St. Matthew Evangelical transitional housing or to the Salvation Army.

A memorial service in honor of Lois will be held at a later date, with details to follow.
